Hong Pepper Poe| The State of The Art 6D Artist
Pepper was born in Vietnam, and this is where she got her primary education. At the age of 17, she decided that the standard education system was not her cup of tea, and she wanted more out of life rather than just cramming books.
Pepper has always been inspired by the beauty industry, and in 2004, she started to work there as soon as she dropped out of school. People in Asia do not get any help from the government, and if one is poor, they spend their entire life that way until and unless they take some serious steps to change their status.
Pepper had the spark in her and decided to use her energy in the right direction. For three years, she worked with zeal and learned how the business works and improved herself to provide even better services than she could at the start.
After this tough phase of working under someone, Pepper was able to open her salon in 2007. It was a milestone in her life and a dream come true. She had worked so hard and bore so much turbulence to achieve the position she got at that time.
Perhaps, the best thing about Pepper was that she never put a limit to herself and always challenged herself to be better. In 2009, she joined the school, not the ordinary school but a makeup school where she learned nail art.
She kept on improving and finally started to offer this service to her customers. But this was not enough, she still had to achieve a lot more and the race with time was tough. But she remained steadfast, devoted, and consistent towards her work.
Some years passed, Pepper had been working with the same amount of passion, but it was time to take the game to an entirely new level and incorporate such services to her salon’s menu, which are rare worldwide.
It was time for her to become a state of the art 6D artist and one of the few around the world. But doing that was not easy at all. It required resources, time, and an infinite amount of devotion and passion, all of which, Pepper was ready to give without a second thought.
Hence, in 2015, she joined a school to learn microblading and permanent makeup. This was the first step on the long ladder to become a 6D artist. She took six months and dedicated over 480 hours of work, learning, and practicing her work.
When asked why she did that, she replied: “I wanted to master the services before I offer them to my customers.” In my opinion, someone is the best artist if they make sure their customers are satisfied.
And talking off the record, Pepper won hearts with her work. Her hands were gifted and blessed, and whichever job she took up, she was already a master before she even learned it. It was as if God was himself helping her in her work.
Three more years passed, and Pepper was now a businesswoman, doing everything she ever wanted to. But who knew that there had to be a twist in her life. A twist, which would entirely change her life and transform it.
And that twist was me. In 2017, she met Scott (which is me), and we fell in love instantly. It was not very difficult for both of us to decide that we will spend the rest of our lives together. We married and moved to the USA.
But Pepper had to sell her dream full-service salon for $500 in order to do that. She was ready to start everything from scratch just for me, and I can’t thank her enough for this. Even today, I appreciate her act she did for me, and I am always thankful.
When we moved to America, those were tough times. Pepper and I needed to overcome the language barrier and collect enough resources to open a salon here in America. For a year, she worked as a waitress in New Orleans and put a lot of effort into improving her English.
Today, she speaks English very well, and the effort she put in back then is paying off. After a year of hard work and serving as a waitress, Pepper finally opened her permanent makeup salon in 2019. But this was not our only happiness in 2019.
Another major event of our life took place. In 2019 our beautiful baby, Chloe, came into this world. It was just one happiness after another for us.
Today, Pepper is the only 6D artist in our area. All others are the standard 3D artist and are no match to her. Pepper was considered a master artist in Southeast Asia while in America, she is one of the advanced artists.
She is also licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health & Human Services. 6D is not common in America, and you can find service providers in New York, California, Chicago, and now in Picayune, Mississippi, thanks to Pepper.
Pepper is a master microblading expert and provides numerous other services as well. She can provide ombré, 6D microblading, micro shading, eyeliner services, and permanent makeup to the lips.
Furthermore, she is highly skilled in the technique known as scarring camouflage. In most cases, she is even able to repair the shoddy work done by any previous artist and can help many people be content with their appearance.
In short, she started working in a beauty salon at the age of 17. She worked hard for three years to open her salon, then learned nail art and offered it to her customers. After that, she learned other techniques such as microblading from another school and offered it to customers.
She sold her well-running business to shift to the USA with her husband in 2018, spent a year as a waitress, and learned English. Had a baby named Chloe in 2019. And in the same year, she opened her salon and is in my opinion one of the world’s leading artists today.

Scott’s Pepper – The Journey Of My Missing Piece…
Just like any other Cliché story, our story started with the two of us being continents apart, while I didn’t know her, and she didn’t know me. We were living our own lives in our cities and struggling to find the missing pieces of life.
While I was always restless, being a customer service agent, a good job, peaceful life, but everything felt a little incomplete.
Ten thousand miles away, my missing piece Pepper (Hong), was struggling to learn her art in a country with limited opportunities for the talent she had. She always felt it was not coming up to her personal, predetermined standard. She was very enthusiastic towards the field of Beauty Art, and truly she had an eye for it; she studied and self-taught the art and worked for three years in the industry to strengthen it.
Finally, in 2007 she achieved her goal and opened her salon, and her journey had finally begun. Yes, it started because she didn’t rest here; indeed, she pushed herself to learn even more and enrolled herself in the school to learn nail art.
I genuinely believe her passion was the driving force and energy that opened ways for her. Not only did she become a successful entrepreneur, but she also introduced many treatments and procedures in her salon, which were rare even for the world outside of Vietnam.
Day after day, Pepper would come home, feeling complete in her work life, but in her heart, she felt lonely, she met many men, but she couldn’t understand what was missing. Mostly she would end up alone again.
Redundancy and normalcy are not for my Pepper, she hardly rested a year or two, and again in 2015, she went back to school.
By this time, she wanted to learn how to be a 6D Artist. People around her kept telling her she was over-enthusiastic, and she should settle with what she has, but once again that is not Pepper.
This course needed extreme dedication, precision in learning, hard work day and night, resources, and time. But, it wouldn’t be Pepper if she stepped back from a little hard work and challenge.
While she worked at her salon, meanwhile she learned the art of MicroBlading and Permanent Makeup. For over six months, she worked tirelessly, working and practicing her art, pushing herself to learn while working over 480 hours in six months.
For all her hard work and dedication, she finished her course without any hiccups. Just like a caterpillar comes out of Chrysalis, beautiful and ready to fly, so was my Pepper, with her skills, already flying and achieving.
Indeed those three years post-course were the best days of her life, for her career, as she offered her clients the best she always wanted. Not only she could offer them the best, but she was also happy that she was finally able to achieve what she set the target to.
But this all was happening back in Vietnam, in a country with limited opportunities, while I was here, looking for my missing piece in life.
After work, it was immensely haunting to be home, and often I walked for miles aimlessly. One fine day, I went to a party at a college, where I met Phoebe, who suggested I talk to a girl she thought I should get to know.
But there was a ridge in the road, Phoebe said, she can’t understand English. But, I was already interested in giving it a try; Cupid was definitely at work; hence, we started talking, mostly video chatting with the help of translating software.
It was tedious, but none of us felt it; we were too absorbed in the process and getting to know each other. Now my lonely nights and long walks were replaced with Pepper and translating software, and this is when I decided to meet her.
Evidently, we have seen in countless movies people flying across continents and oceans to meet their loved ones. Similarly, I was excited to meet her for the first time, and man! The feeling of seeing her for the first time was surreal.
Well, this was not my only trip to Vietnam; for the next two years, I flew four times to meet Pepper and her family, and we all got to know each other very well. While it is obvious we were crazy in love; we decided to be together instantly.
Somewhere in 2018, we got married, and Pepper started this journey together from sacrifices. Not only, she moved to America with me, but also she sold her business for no less than 500 dollars. I am forever in debt.
Our new life started with challenges and difficulties, but they were pleasant since we have each other. I was utterly grateful for her sacrifices, and it broke my heart when she worked as a waitress for a year in New Orleans.
Certainly, I was wrong in thinking her shine was fading away, but my girl would never let her spark go. She was working on her English and removing the only barrier in her way of career, and within one year, she not only learned the language but started her salon.
Indeed, 2019 has been the year for us, we welcomed our little girl Chloe into our lives, and meanwhile, Pepper started her salon. Her energy dazzles me; she adjusted here in no time, but also started her venture and made friends.
With all her hard work, now she is proudly a Master Artist in Southeast Asia, but also, here in America, artists like her are still a rare find.
Now, she got licensed from the Mississippi Department of Health and Human Services, and due to her efforts, the services of 6D are also available in Picayune, Mississippi.
She has gradually become extremely famous in 6D MicroBlading, Ombre’, MicroShading, Permanent makeup, eyeliner, or makeup on lips. Moreover, she has become a trusted service provider in case of correcting other artists' work.
Our greatest wish is to be together every day to further this goal. I am attending school for my nail license. Where Pepper has done nails and beauty for many years I have always been in the customer service field. We see a great void in Picayune for a salon that has not only beautiful nails and a relaxing environment but top notch customer service as well. WoW Nailz will open February 2021 Pepper and I will be able to share our love and passion with all of Picayune and the surrounding area.

Brief History of Dominick Hart
I am Dominick Hart. I am a hair expert specializing in ethnic hair, and licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health. Since childhood, I have been attracted to makeup and hair art, and I found that most of my time was spent learning to be the very best at it.
When I first realized my passion for hair art, it was 1999. But at that time, I thought of it as a professional crush, but there were times when I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that if I was to join any profession, it had to be the beauty industry.
When I first started doing hair, I was only fourteen years old. I wanted to make the ladies appear even more beautiful. I had the vision to make people fall in love with themselves. There are many of those out there who hate themselves just because of the way they look.
Sadly, our society judges a person by their looks and not by their character. A handsome playboy is preferred over a nerdy true lover. The same is the case with girls. Society expects them to exhibit glamor all the time, but they do not understand it is simply not possible.
Hence, I decided that if I can not change the way society thinks, I can help those neglected ones give themselves a second chance and be accepted by these cruel norms. I struggled very hard to learn and master the skills that I was interested in.
But there were numerous hindrances in my journey. First of all, I was a man in a woman’s business, so I had to face criticism and rejections. People used to refer to me as feminine and mocked me, saying I lost my manhood.
Some considered it a shame for a man to beautify a woman and learn about makeup. Some even had the opinion that a man becoming a makeup artist is gay. And those who had contrary thinking, were simply not ready to let me in their business. I tried several places, left no stone unturned, but I couldn’t see any results.
Finally, I had my breakthrough and found someone who would teach me all that I ever wanted to learn. In June 2019, my life changed forever. I escapade death. It was so close to me. That event changed me forever. My life was about to end that moment, but then, it seemed as if God changed His decision at the last second and decided to prolong my life.
That was the crucial moment when I realized that I should pay more attention to my future. I came to know the importance of every breath that I am taking. I became aware of the essence of life and the importance of life itself. At that time, I remembered all the mistakes I ever made and a recap of my life. It was as tons of wisdom was endowed upon me at that time.
At that moment, when I came face to face with death, I remembered my grandfather. I commemorated his love for Jesus and his religious nature. And when I got control of my conscience again, I remembered his sermon.
I decided that I needed to change the objectives of my life and make it more fruitful in my kingdom relationship and business. Now I have moved all my dedication first towards God, the church, and finally towards my business.
On this journey of success, my Grandparents legacy has been a significant support and inspiration for me. My grandfather’s trial sermon raises my hopes when I feel low. When I came to myself, referring to the prodigal son Luke 15:17. The examples they left me to pattern have made me realize that I am required to keep trying and never give up. Their courageous strengths have pushed me forward and forced me to get up whenever I came close to giving up.
I have also looked at my mother Linda and have seen what it means to never give up. Mother has taught me that I needed to trust God, cling to the last strand of hope and get myself up again. She stressed I needed to achieve my goals in life and fulfill my God given destiny.
The next most important person on this journey was and is Pepper. My mentor and my teacher. I am still thankful to God for allowing me a second chance to choose an enlightened path. Then I thank Pepper for giving me a chance and taking me under her wing to learn new methodologies and techniques in the world of beauty.
I am currently an apprentice of Pepper at Picayune Microblading, where I am learning 6D Microblading and Permanent Makeup. I want to learn more every day to beautify women and return them the love and care they have been lacking.
It has been almost 21 years since I first joined the beauty industry. I faced a lot; I overcame a lot, but I achieved a lot too. Today, whenever I look back on the path I have travelled, I burst into tears of joy and happiness.
I regularly go to the church and thank the Almighty Creator for his blessings and seek forgiveness for all those sins that I may have committed, knowingly, or unknowingly. My role in the beauty industry is more than just being a hair expert.
I believe that I am a servant of God sent to help the people and make their lives beautiful and return them the joys and laughter of life that they might have missed. Today, my sole purpose is to serve humanity and help to please and serve God’s creation.
I am still on the road that I took 21 years ago, and I don’t know how far I still have to go. I hope that I can keep doing all the good work that I am doing and help people see the beauty inside them and, once again, fall in love with themselves.
I hope that God keeps helping me on my journey and allows me to serve humanity as long as possible.
